Course - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.).
- Intake - 100 Seats 2023-24 Session.
- Duration - 4.5 years + 1 year Internship..
- Course Type - Graduation.
- Eligibility - Passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination in science with PCB and English as compulsory subjects with at least 50% and must have minimum age of 17 yrs.
* As per the Counselling schelduled by M.P. Ayush Department(for 85%) and Ministry of Ayush,GOI(for 15%) which is based on the Marks obtained in NEET or qualifying exam.
- Course Details - Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.)
is a undergraduate program in indian Alternative Medicine,which integrates modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. The name ayurveda is derived from sanskrit terms Ayush-Life & Veda- knowledge. Ayurveda medicine is considered pseudo scientific and is based on three elemental substances (the doshas) called vata (wind -air & space), pitta (Bile - Fire & water) and kapha (phlegm - water & earth). The balance of this doshas results in helth, while imbalance results in disease.
The Degree course of B.A.M.S. a period of 5 ½ years, including compulsory Internship of one-year duration after passing the Final Degree Examination, on successful completion of the internship and on the recommendation of the principal of the college concerned the University shall issue the degree to such conditions.
