ABOUT NAD – DIGILOCKER & ACADEMIC BANK OF CREDITS (ABC):

 NAD Digilocker is an initiative of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD). MHRD has appointed UGC as nodal agency for implementation of NAD scheme through DigiLocker. NAD-DigiLocker aims to provide paperless government, facilitated the students to get authentic Educational documents/certificate in digital format which was issued by their Academic institutions. The NAD ecosystem comprises of the Academic Institutions, Students, Verifying Partners, and NAD Repository.

 Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is a virtual/digital storehouse that contains the information of the credits earned by individual students throughout their learning journey. It will enable students to open their accounts and give multiple options for entering and leaving colleges or universities. There will be “multiple exits” & “multiple entries” facility during the higher education tenure & credits will be transferred through the ABC seamlessly.


 Steps To Create ABC Id:

  • Login www.digiLocker.gov.in / www.abc.gov.in website
  • Click “Search Document” option
  • In the “Education” field. Select the “Academic Bank of Credits” option.
  • Click “ABC Id Card” option.
  • Give the basic details like Name, DOB and Gender.
  • Click “Get Document” option.
  • You will generate the ABC Id.

    •  Steps To Download Degree Certificate:

  • Login the website www.digiLocker.gov.in
  • Click on “Sign up” option and give basic details.
  • In “Sign in” box give your Aadhaar/Mobile number and Security pin.
  • Click “Search document” option.
  • In “Education Field” search your Educational Institution.
  • Give the Basic details to fetch your digital certificate.
  • In “Issued documents” option you can able to see your digital certificate.
